Koro decides to put together a school to teach boys how to operate chiefs. Koro gives the boys tests and tells them things about chiefs to see who is to become chief. Koro has his eyes on Hemi, a classmate and friend of Paikea. belittled does he know that Paikea has asked her uncle, Rawiri to help her, so while Koro is learn the boys, Rawiri is teaching Paikea. One mean solar day Paikea and Hemi get into a fight. They attempt hitting their staffs together just now Paikea knocks it out of Hemis lapse right in expect of Koro.
